My back hurts.. :(

After days of raining, the sun finally showed up. It is time to clean the mess that the flood left behind. But the problem is my back still in pain. I got back pain since I played basketball in our department basketball tournament. Yes, I do play basketball. My back ache maybe because I do not have regular exercise that my body push its limit. I hope that my back will be better as soon as possible so that I can play my 100% during our game.

Upon browsing to the net, I was able to find an article regarding back chronic pain. How to treat the chronic pain. Hope this one helps.

There is no denial to the fact that lower back pain is the most difficult and frustrating chronic pains of all. Being difficult does not mean that it cannot be cured. There are no 100% results generating drugs available out there for treating the back pain. However, some simple precautions and proper treatment can easily help you say goodbye to the lower back pain. Out of all the treatment options available, visiting a chiropractic clinic might be the best possible one.

1.Rest

Therefore, by giving proper rest to the spinal muscles can help in controlling the pain at an early stage. You should preferably go for complete bed rest for 2-3 days in order alleviate your pain.

2.Heat Application
Heat packs also serve as an ideal solution to relieve any kind of back chronic pain. For the pain treatment, the patients can make use of heating pad, hot water bath or bottles of hot water. This helps in easing any kind of discomfort in the muscles and alleviates the pain.

3.Exercises
Strengthening the muscles of the lower back is yet another way of treating the chronic pain. There are a good number of exercises that can help in strengthening of the muscles and provide the much needed flexibility.

4.Spine Surgery
When all the above mentioned treatments do not work, getting the spine treated can be the last resort. You can consult an orthopedist before undergoing any kind of surgery. Some of the main types of effective surgery include Foraminotomy, Discectomy and Laminectomy.
So, these were some best pain treatment methods available for the sufferers. Have a closer look at the above mentioned treatments in order to treat your pain in the best possible manner.

I hope that spine surgery is not required to cure my back pain. I am praying for that. Maybe rest and proper exercise will do. :D

By the way, Tramadol is a synthetic (man-made) analgesic (pain reliever). Its exact mechanism of action is unknown but it is very similar to morphine. Like morphine, Tramadol binds to opioid receptors in the brain that are important for transmitting the sensation of pain throughout the body.Tramadol is not a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) and does not havethe increased risk of stomach ulceration and internal bleeding that can occur with NSAIDs.

Tramadol is used to relieve moderately severe pain. It also may be used to treat pain caused by surgery and chronic conditions such as cancer or joint pain. Tramadol works by decreasing the brain's perception and response to pain. It also reduces the size or magnitude of the pain signal passed from one nerve to another. This medication is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

There is no assurance that any medical treatment can cure back pain thoroughly. It depends on one's body whether it will react to the treatment or not. However, undergoing therapy routinely can help lessen back pain. Although the positive result may take time to manifest, it is more likely that back pain will disappear entirely.

I agree with you, Shaunna. Medical treatments may take some time to work. In some cases, patients with back pain prefer an organic way to alleviate their suffering. Oftentimes, they turn to therapies that help relieve and cure back pain. But before one opts for a certain treatment or therapy, it is still best to consult an expert.
